We are pleased to have you visit us. Our PTS Prototypenteile und System Technik GmbH is situated located in the catchment area of the automotive industry near Stuttgart. Since 2006, we have been focusing on the development, production, and testing of vehicle components, especially exhaust systems and media-carrying components. We manufacture prototypes as well as small series for passenger cars (including racing vehicles), commercial vehicles, as well as air, water, or rail vehicles.
PTS Prototype Parts and Systems Engineering is your development partner and manufacturing specialist for complex metal components, assemblies and system solutions. From the initial product concept through design and simulation to prototype production, series production and quality assurance, we support our customers throughout the entire product development process.
Our core competence lies in the development and manufacture of high-precision tubular and sheet metal components, as well as systems subjected to high thermal loads. With an exceptionally high level of vertical integration, state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and decades of experience, we deliver cost-effective solutions for the automotive, motorsport, commercial vehicle and mechanical engineering sectors, as well as numerous other industries.

Development & Design
Our engineers develop production-ready components and assemblies, taking into account function, installation space, materials, loads, and cost-effectiveness. The design process is supplemented by modern simulation methods such as CFD calculations, operational vibration analyses (BSA), hydroforming and deep-drawing simulations, and thermomechanical analyses.

Prototyping
Thanks to in-house design, our own toolmaking capabilities, modern manufacturing technologies, and quick decision-making processes, functional prototypes can be produced within a few weeks. Components can be validated and optimized under real-world conditions as early as the initial stages of development.
Series production
From small batch sizes to demanding mass-production projects, we manufacture cost-effectively, consistently, and to a consistently high standard of quality. Our manufacturing processes are designed for maximum process reliability and repeatability.

Quality assurance
Precision doesn't end with manufacturing. State-of-the-art CNC coordinate measuring machines, optical measuring systems, bending scanners, leak tests, and comprehensive material and surface inspections ensure consistently high quality throughout the entire production process.

Our machinery forms the heart of an efficient and integrated manufacturing process. Thanks to state-of-the-art production facilities, our in-house toolmaking department and the close integration of development, manufacturing and quality assurance, we are able to produce even the most complex components efficiently and cost-effectively.
Whilst many companies have to outsource individual production steps to external service providers, at PTS the majority of value creation takes place in-house. Our manufacturing processes interlock seamlessly, enabling us to produce high-quality tubular, sheet metal and metal components from a single source. Thanks to our in-house design department, internal toolmaking facility and state-of-the-art measurement technology, adjustments can be implemented quickly and development times significantly reduced.

- Hydroforming – Internal high-pressure forming for high-strength and complex hollow sections.
- 2D- & 3D-lasercutting – Precision cutting of sheet metal, tubes and three-dimensional components using state-of-the-art laser technology.
- Welding – TIG-, MIG-, MAG-, Laser-, Orbital-, Roboter- und Microwelding for complex assemblies.
- Tube-end forming – Flaring, tapering, tulip-shaped, bicone and star-shaped formations, as well as the manufacture of high-quality tailpipe trims.
- Thermal insulation – Development and manufacture of high-performance heat shielding and insulation systems for applications subject to extreme thermal loads.
Particularly in the field of complex pipework and exhaust systems, our customers benefit from an exceptional level of in-house manufacturing capability. Tools, clamping devices and moulding dies are developed and manufactured in our own toolmaking department. This means that changes or optimisations can be implemented within a very short time – a decisive advantage in prototype construction and for last-minute project adjustments.
Through the use of state-of-the-art production equipment, digital process chains and qualified specialists, we guarantee consistently high precision, reproducible quality and cost-effective production processes – from individual parts and prototypes right through to series production.
