Working student (m/f/d) – Project Management / Project Leadership

Location: Waldstetten near Stuttgart | Working student role

 

 

Would you like to gain practical experience in industry alongside your studies, whilst working directly on technically challenging client projects?

At PTS, you’ll support our project team in the planning, coordination and implementation of projects – from the initial enquiry right through to series production.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Supporting the project manager in the planning and management of ongoing client projects
  • Assisting with the coordination of deadlines, milestones and project tasks
  • Creating and maintaining project plans, status reports and presentations
  • Compiling and analysing project and production data
  • Assisting with the tracking of outstanding issues and actions
  • Liaising with internal departments such as Design, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance
  • Providing support for client and supplier meetings
  • Helping to introduce and optimise project management processes
  • Taking on your own small projects and areas of responsibility

What you bring to the role:

  • Currently studying, e.g. industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering, electrical engineering or a similar subject
  • An interest in technical products and industrial manufacturing processes
  • A structured and independent approach to work
  • Good organisational skills and a passion for coordinating various tasks
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good command of German and English
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to take the initiative

Metalworking Technician (m/f/d) – Insulation

Location: Waldstetten near Stuttgart | Full-time


Do you have good manual skills and an interest in technical components? At PTS, you’ll work on a wide range of insulation and heat protection solutions for various applications and industries – from bespoke manufacturing to series production.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing and assembling insulation and heat protection systems for exhaust systems and pipework
  • Fabricating and processing insulation materials in accordance with drawings and work instructions
  • Cutting, shaping, fitting and securing insulation materials
  • Manufacturing and assembling integral insulation, shields and heat protection components
  • Working with various materials and tools used in metalworking and insulation technology
  • Quality control of the manufactured components
  • Close collaboration with production, the welding shop and the assembly department

 

What you bring to the role:

  • Completed vocational training in the metalworking sector is an advantage, e.g. as an industrial mechanic, construction mechanic, metalworker or similar
  • Technical understanding and manual dexterity
  • Confidence in working with technical drawings and work documents
  • A meticulous and quality-conscious approach to work
  • Ideally, experience in insulation, heat protection or exhaust systems is an advantage, but not a requirement
  • Willingness to familiarise yourself with new manufacturing processes and materials and to undertake further training

Welder (m/f/d) – TIG / MAG stainless steel & titanium

Location: Waldstetten near Stuttgart | Full-time

 

Do you have experience in welding and would you like to work on technically challenging components? At PTS, you will manufacture a wide variety of metal and tubular components, working with modern welding processes and challenging materials – in particular stainless steel and titanium.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Welding assemblies and components using TIG and MAG
  • Focus on stainless steel, ideally also titanium
  • Manual welding of pipework and sheet metal components according to technical drawings
  • Manufacture of individual parts, prototypes, small batches and production components
  • Preparing, tack-welding, aligning and welding components
  • Working to drawings, welding instructions and technical specifications
  • Ensuring the required weld quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Visual inspection and finishing of welds
  • Collaborating with design, work planning, quality assurance and production

What you bring to the role:

  • Experience in TIG welding, ideally of stainless steel
  • Experience in MAG welding is an advantage
  • Knowledge of titanium welding is particularly desirable
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings with confidence
  • Good technical understanding and manual dexterity
  • A quality-conscious and meticulous approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and a sense of responsibility
  • Apprenticeship in the metalworking sector is an advantage, but not essential
